Project Details
I wrote and developed TECAT: Telomere End Chromosome Assaying Tool. TECAT is an R package that uses a combination of R and Python to analyze telomere end chromosome data. The package is designed to be user-friendly and easy to use. The shiny app was developed and implemented by Mark Oelkuct and I. TECAT is an application which measures chromosome end specific telomere lengths using long-read sequencing technologies which can be run on a personal computer or a high-performance computing cluster and is optimized to analyze human samples. The application is currently in development and is not yet available for public use. I’m planning to release the application in 2024 on CRAN and to have a docker image available on DockerHub.
